

Simone Katz-O’Neill focuses her practice on brand protection, enforcement, and clearance and advises clients on global trademark strategies and anti-counterfeiting programs.
Prior to joining Resonate IP, Simone worked for nine years in house at one of the largest wine companies in the United States, driving the company’s global trademark strategy, resolving trademark and IP enforcement for the company’s brands, and drafting and negotiating high-dollar contracts across the company’s departments, including Marketing and Supply Chain.
Simone began her career in San Francisco working for six years at Shartsis Friese LLP, where she focused on trademark prosecution and IP enforcement and litigated IP, business, and real estate disputes. She then joined Sideman & Bancroft LLP for two years, where she handled trademark prosecution, IP enforcement work, and copyright protection for clients and managed trademark clearance work for one of the world’s largest food companies.
Simone is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and speaks on trademark matters focused on consumer products and the food/beverage industries.
In her free time, Simone enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and tutoring elementary school students in math and writing. She lives in Napa with her husband, two kids, and their yellow Lab dog.
